Sometimes a couple of hours can feel like days or weeks. In those times, all you wish for is for time to slow down and nearly stop. Yet, after that time has passed you realize that you really did have a fun time while it lasted. This brings me to today's Embrace the Camera…

It’s been 2 weeks since Mike's sister Sonja visited us here in California. It was so exciting for all of us…7 long years since the last time we all saw each other. She still looks exactly the same, as if time had never passed.

Shopping and introducing Sonja to more Filipino food was the main plan for Mike. 

Little bro & Big Sis

He wanted his sister to have her 1^st adventure at Forever21… that’s a big thing… she doesn’t shop in bright light stores. Yet, we had a blast and we bought her nice clothes and accessories. She even wore the hat and the jacket right away.

2^nd plan, Jeepney Asian Grill… we knew she loved the “Pansit” from our wedding and Mike said there isn't much Filipino restaurants in Seattle. Great food with live band is a great combination. A night that you wish would never end…

Little Bro was so happy to able to do that for his big sis…she has always taken time to see Mike when he flies to Seattle for work. He just wanted to give back in return.

I grew up in a tight knit family…which makes me fill with excitement to have the kids meet their aunt for the first time. All we could do islaugh and giggle as we shared our short time together, even the kids began fighting for her attention...especially when little bro, Mike takes the stage. Hehehe... priceless!

I know my kids will always remember spending time with Sonja. Even now Daniel will say… “I met my Dad’s big sister”… no more, “I didn’t know you had a big sister, Daddy."

Giving your time when you have such a busy day is the best thing you can do to show how important a person is in your life. There will be another fun day with Sonja some day, we just hope it will be sooner than later... and I hope the Zeller family will visit her by that time too. J

Embrace the Camera: 04/14/11

All about Daniel... How am going to start this?  I feel that it’s time for me to say a bit more about my first born, Daniel Robert.  Nov. 2005 @ 7:54pm a 20' and 8.3lbs baby boy starts my journey as a mom He’s a sweet, loving, and caring boy... Also a good BIG brother to his sister Mikah...  I really can’t ask for more.  Sometimes life tends to become so busy that time flies by and  I begin to realize my "baby boy" is no longer a baby.  He declares, ‘I’m a BIG BOY now!’… but like most moms I keep thinking ‘you’ll always be my baby, my baby boy, my boy’.  6 months, 2 1/2 and 4yrs old - Preschool days @ Ascension School... look at those CHEEKS... To be honest, I’m dreading the day my son will no longer want me to kiss him goodbye when dropping him off at school. I realize I won’t be able to prevent that from happening... but it will still hurt inside. He’s all grown up now... he totally is my little man.  My little Fireman His kindergarten year is almost over. It’s been a fun, interesting, and a very  challenging journey for him. We have had our good days and we have experienced our very bad days, but I know he understands why Mommy is so on top of him.  I want more than anything for him to succeed and be the best he can be. I see all the potential in the world in him, and I want more than anything for him to be the best I know he can!!! K-B3 Class of Mary Bragg Elem. School Love you my Dan the Man. Double Trouble is BACK!!!

It's been 3 months, and I couldn't be happier to be back blogging again. There have been many changes in my life, and many more moments to share. Shame on me for staying away so long and keeping all this to myself...but it’s time to share what the kids have been up to lately. Embrace the Camera is just the perfect introduction I need to get me started again. It’s time to share the Green Pancake Breakfast Day at Daniel’s school...

Hard to be sick and the whole family are sick... thats why we missed last week post but had a chance to cooked 2 turkey for Thanks Giving Feast... ..

Fun Night with KINECT...

Its is nice to have a fun day after having a crazy week... I don't even want to start talking about the crazy week... it make me tired by just thinking about it... LOL...
Since my husband Michael found out that Xbox 360 will have a new accessories that can sense your body movement without using a controller... he never stop saying I want one... that’s so cool... kids will enjoy it... blah blah blah blah... yah right for the kids... are you sure its for them? or its you toy again? that’s what in my mind every time he bring it up... but I was wrong... they day finally arrived... KINECT is out in the market and now is in Zeller's residence... hehehe... the pics totally shows that its not just him enjoy it but the whole family... he was definitely happy that it arrives before my youngest sister go back to Philippines... he really want her to try it out and enjoy it and she did...
It was totally a fun night for us... playing Kinect while trying out to make red velvet cake... YAP making cake with my sisters… our sisters adventures turning out good... hope it continues... but first we need to be on top making all the business side ready... hehehe for sure I will be here to share it all :)

Where the time goes...

My little man Daniel turns 5 last Nov. 8... We did gave him a picnic birthday party at Sunday because his birthday landed on Monday... everything turn out great... weather cooperate, wishes been granted and most important family and friends are there... 1st he got his party, 2nd he wants robot, car, plane, rocket, etc. as his cake. He can’t decide what he really want for his cake so we made it as he picture it in his mind… and last but not the least his pillow pet... YES pillow pet… that’s what we end up getting him because his been asking for it for several months... he even want to get one for his little sister right away… “Mommy, Mikah wants pillow pet too”… what a sweet big brother… my baby is not a baby any more... HE is big boy now... his growing so fast and I wish I can stop or slow it down a bit... his now saying "mommy do I look cool? I’m like ha? Cool? He says do I look cool wearing these at school? Of course YES... that’s the answer he wants to hear”… WOW his totally my little man... We’re happy that he did turn out to be a good son, brother, cousin, grandson and a friend… that’s what we want him to be... the best he can be… We’re so proud of Dandan the man…

Pumpkin Patch and Trick or Treating Time…

We have been hearing since October began…”I want to go to the pumpkin patch” “I want to carve a pumpkin” “When is Halloween?”.  That’s what my little man kept asking up until Halloween was actually here. Then the counting down the days began, and making sure he had a great  costume to wear. He couldn’t  decide what he wanted to be this Halloween…but in the end he transformed himself into a Transformer Bumble Bee!

I was so thrilled about his decision because his little sister was to wear a Bumble Bee costume brought to her from my sis/her godmother all the way from the Philippines. This was  Mikah’s 1^st trick or treating experience with Kuya Daniel, and they were both so excited to begin pumpkin carving. Luckily, I found a nearby pumpkin patch, and the weather was pretty good. The kids had a blast…and so did the adults. This outing also marked our 1^st family pumpkin patch outing, and we might just begin a family tradition of visiting yearly.  

Oh by the way, we didn’t even end up buying a pumpkin to carve… we just brought home the small one that Mikah is holding in the picture… they were far more interested in the rides.
