Embrace the Camera: 05/26 @ Union Station…

“Unexpected trips are always FUN!"

It’s funny when plans steer you in a different direction… that’s what kept happening to us every time we attempted to visit the Union Station. The place is full of history, amzing for great photo opts, and kids love trains. We weren't thinking of riding because my husband has never riden a train as a form of transformation. It seems to be more of a field trip for us at no cost… hehehe.

So the day finally happened. We didn't quite planned it, it was more of a call of nature…by this I mean someone badly needed to go to the restroom. lol

Guesses who? Not the little guy or the little missy but ME. Hahaha… yes it’s me.

We went from dropping off my cousins at a relatives house and ending up at an unexpected visit to
THE UNION STATION…

The journey begins…

Pictures first before my run to the restroom…

Mike needed to hold on to that little guy, he could’t wait to see the trains. He kept saying 'are we going to ride train?' over and over and over…

Father and Son...

The waiting room at the Los Angeles Union Station

His eyes just could’t stop looking around…

Daddy and little missy stopped into the Union Bagel…

“Unexpected trips are always FUN!". Now Mike is finally open to taking a trip using the Amtrak!!!
Mission accomplished!

Embrace the Camera: Simple and Fun Celebration...

My Mother’s Day started very early this year. My family picked me up from work, and as soon as I opened the car door I was welcomed by kids says… ‘MOMMY! MOMMY! MOMMY!’. The whole scene was so cute, and made me smile from ear to ear. When they kids finally calmed down, I began preparing to get into the car when they began saying ‘Daddy, give it to Mommy now’. Shocked I said, ‘Huh? What? What’s going on?’
Mike pulls out the card Daniel made at school, and the arts & crafts that Mikaela made at daycare. So very CUTE! But above all their proud faces to see that they made me happy felt so good. They had this GLOW that showed how happy they were to give me these specials items. It is nearly impossible to describe and I feel just awful for not capturing it...

Making fun of his dad, my son said, “Daddy why you didn’t get Mommy flowers? I told you, you should get flowers for Mommy”. At this point I’m laughing big time, and realized my son is growing up thoughtful and sweet guy… a smarty pants. We arrived home and there is was… flowers waiting for me. That was really a SURPRISE moment for me; everything was so unexpected and funny.

One of those days… Taken by each kid to each other, with the help of their father dear…

I always say this… ‘SIMPLE things or moments are always the most PRICELESS!!!’

YES, family pictures are special occasions, am I right? And I won’t let the day pass without getting one. It took a lot of click, click and click to get the best one, but I needed to take consideration that my little one was not feeling good.  Can you tell she's telling me: "Mom, I'm done... no more please?"... LOL

My bro-in-law and family spent the night with us after watching the boxing fight...
We all welcomed Mother's Day together.
The guys made some awesome brunch for everybody, and
sis-in-law and I even said, ‘We should let the guys hang out for breakfast always’ LOL!

Embrace the Camera: 4/21/11

Big Sis & Little Bro

Sometimes a couple of hours can feel like days or weeks. In those times, all you wish for is for time to slow down and nearly stop. Yet, after that time has passed you realize that you really did have a fun time while it lasted. This brings me to today's Embrace the Camera…

It’s been 2 weeks since Mike's sister Sonja visited us here in California. It was so exciting for all of us…7 long years since the last time we all saw each other. She still looks exactly the same, as if time had never passed.

with Zeller's siblings... Sonja, Michael, Me and Joseph... 9/24/2004
thats is the first time for a long time the 3 of them got picture together again...
It makes our special day more special...

Shopping and introducing Sonja to more Filipino food was the main plan for Mike.

Little bro & Big Sis

He wanted his sister to have her 1st adventure at Forever21… that’s a big thing… she doesn’t shop in bright light stores. Yet, we had a blast and we bought her nice clothes and accessories. She even wore the hat and the jacket right away.

yummy dishes

2nd plan, Jeepney Asian Grill… we knew she loved the “Pansit” from our wedding and Mike said there isn't much Filipino restaurants in Seattle. Great food with live band is a great combination. A night that you wish would never end…

yum... glad she enjoy it :)

Little Bro was so happy to able to do that for his big sis…she has always taken time to see Mike when he flies to Seattle for work. He just wanted to give back in return.

Famous Halo Halo dessert in the Philippines

I grew up in a tight knit family…which makes me fill with excitement to have the kids meet their aunt for the first time. All we could do islaugh and giggle as we shared our short time together, even the kids began fighting for her attention...especially when little bro, Mike takes the stage. Hehehe... priceless!

Little Bro with Big Sis & Big Bro with Little Sis

I know my kids will always remember spending time with Sonja. Even now Daniel will say… “I met my Dad’s big sister”… no more, “I didn’t know you had a big sister, Daddy."

Giving your time when you have such a busy day is the best thing you can do to show how important a person is in your life. There will be another fun day with Sonja some day, we just hope it will be sooner than later... and I hope the Zeller family will visit her by that time too. J

Embrace the Camera: 04/14/11

All about Daniel...

How am going to start this?
I feel that it’s time for me to say a bit more about my first born, Daniel Robert.

Nov. 2005 @ 7:54pm a 20' and 8.3lbs baby boy starts my journey as a mom

He’s a sweet, loving, and caring boy... Also a good BIG brother to his sister Mikah...
I really can’t ask for more.
Sometimes life tends to become so busy that time flies by and
I begin to realize my "baby boy" is no longer a baby.
He declares, ‘I’m a BIG BOY now!’…
but like most moms I keep thinking ‘you’ll always be my baby, my baby boy, my boy’.

6 months, 2 1/2 and 4yrs old - Preschool days @ Ascension School...
look at those CHEEKS...

To be honest, I’m dreading the day my son will no longer want me to kiss him goodbye when dropping him off at school. I realize I won’t be able to prevent that from happening...
but it will still hurt inside. He’s all grown up now... he totally is my little man.
My little Fireman

His kindergarten year is almost over. It’s been a fun, interesting, and a very
challenging journey for him. We have had our good days and we have experienced our very bad days, but I know he understands why Mommy is so on top of him.
I want more than anything for him to succeed and be the best he can be. I see all the potential in the world in him, and I want more than anything for him to be the best I know he can!!!

K-B3 Class of Mary Bragg Elem. School
Love you my Dan the Man. I’m so proud of you... keep it up...
Mommy will always be there for you no matter what.

My Daniel
